In Clifton this Sunday, Rosy Bagolie pulls for veterans, community, and New Jersey’s future—urging Democrats across LD27 to vote in the June 10 primary

There’s something powerful about people coming together to do something hard for a greater cause. We’re always stronger when we pull together—for our veterans, our communities, and our future.”
— Assemblywoman Rosy Bagolie
CLIFTON , NJ, UNITED STATES, June 3, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- New Jersey Assemblywoman Dr. Rosy Bagolie, a lifelong educator, immigrant, and advocate for public service and community, will join more than 50 teams this Sunday, June 8, at the 15th Annual New Jersey Army Tank Pull Challenge in Clifton, proudly participating with Team “Rosy Bagolie for Assembly” at 3:16 PM - just two days ahead of the June 10th Democratic Primary.

This powerful community tradition, hosted by the New Jersey Knights of Columbus and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Paterson, brings together teams from across the state to pull an 80,000-pound tank in honor of veterans, service members, and American values. This year’s theme is “Honor the American Flag,” with special recognition for military chaplains, the Four Chaplains, and those missing in action.

“There’s something beautiful about people from all walks of life coming together to do something hard in honor of something bigger than themselves,” said Assemblywoman Bagolie. “That’s what this event is about. It’s a reminder that we are stronger when we pull together, for our veterans, for our communities, and for our shared future.”

Assemblywoman Bagolie, who represents New Jersey’s 27th Legislative District—including Clifton, Montclair, Livingston, West Orange, Millburn/Short Hills, and Roseland - is the endorsed candidate of both the Essex and Passaic County Democratic Committees and is encouraging all Democrats to vote in the June 10th primary election.

“This Sunday, I’ll be pulling with my team - and on Tuesday, I hope voters across LD27 will pull for me,” Bagolie said with a smile. “I’m so proud of the work we’ve done together, and I’m asking for your support so we can keep building a New Jersey that honors its workers, values its educators, and never forgets its veterans.”

Bagolie has made supporting military families and veterans a key part of her legislative agenda. This year, she introduced Bill A5073, which would exempt New Jersey residents serving on active duty overseas from paying state income tax on their military pay - a move aimed at helping service members stay rooted in New Jersey without sacrificing financial stability.

“Too often, our service members are forced to give up their New Jersey residency just to avoid extra taxes while they’re deployed abroad,” Bagolie said. “With this bill, we’re saying: You can serve your country and still call New Jersey home. And when you come home, we’ll be here for you.”

The Tank Pull has raised over $1.93 million in its first 14 years and is expected to cross the $2 million mark this year. Beneficiaries include Catholic Charities Veterans Services, Welcome Home Vets NJ, Clifton Cares, Paramus Veterans Home, Wreaths Across America, and other local organizations that provide essential support to veterans.

Bagolie, a member of the Assembly Education and Finance & Insurance Committees, has passed more than 248 bills in her first term—focusing on education, mental health, property tax relief, and support for working families. Her campaign theme is rooted in service, empathy, and the power of collective action.

“I’ve spent my whole life in service - first as a teacher, then a principal and superintendent, and now as your Assemblywoman,” Bagolie said. “But the truth is, none of us does this alone. We move forward by pulling together. And that’s exactly what I’ll be doing on Sunday - with my team, for our veterans, and with deep hope for the future of our state.”

To powoduje problemy branży recyklingowej

Transport

Infrastruktury ładowania elektryków przybywa w szybkim tempie. Inwestorzy jednak napotykają szereg barier

Liczba punktów ładowania samochodów elektrycznych wynosi dziś ok. 10 tys., a tempo wzrostu wynosi ok. 50 proc. r/r.
