Smonet launches B300 smart bird feeder with motion-activated video, AI species recognition & solar power for hands-free birdwatching.

BOSTON, MA, UNITED STATES, May 12, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Smonet has announced the release of its B300 smart bird feeder, which integrates motion-activated video, AI-powered species recognition and solar-assisted power to support hands-free backyard birdwatching.

Integrated Video Monitoring
B300 bird feeder houses a 1080p camera paired with thermal motion detection. When avian activity is detected near the 2 L seed hopper, the system automatically begins recording and sends a notification to the user’s smartphone via the VicoHome app. Recordings and live streams are stored on the included 32 GB microSD card for later review, enabling uninterrupted observation without manual intervention.

AI-Based Species Identification
Through a 30-day trial of VicoHome’s recognition service, users can access identification data for over 10,000 bird species, including details on feeding behavior and migration patterns, through Smonet’s bird feeder camera. After the trial period, optional subscription plans maintain access to the expanding species database. This capability supports educational projects, community science efforts and deeper insight into local bird populations.

Day-and-Night Recording Modes
The B300’s infrared night-vision mode captures black-and-white footage under low-light conditions, while an optional white-light setting provides full-color imaging after dusk. Users may switch between modes remotely through the app. This bird feeder’s IP65-rated enclosure and energy-efficient LEDs ensure reliable operation in diverse weather conditions without disturbing wildlife.

Two-Way Audio Functionality
Smonet’s bird feeders are equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way audio. Observers can record ambient bird vocalizations and, if desired, play back calls or speak through the feeder’s speaker. Audio clips synchronize with video recordings, producing a unified multimedia record that can be shared or archived for research and personal use.

Solar-Assisted Power System
Featuring a 3.3 W solar panel and 5,000 mAh rechargeable battery, the B300 bird feeder camera operates wirelessly and recharges under daylight without external power connections. It joins 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks for data transmission, allowing flexible positioning in outdoor spaces. A battery-status indicator communicates remaining runtime and charging progress through the app.

Support for Citizen Science and Education
The B300 bird feeder is positioned to meet growing interest in backyard ecology projects and informal nature education. By combining automated monitoring with data-driven insights, the feeder offers residents, schools and community groups an accessible platform for documenting and studying local bird activity.

Availability
The Smonet B300 bird feeder will begin shipping to authorized retailers and online outlets in June 2025. For regional specifications and ordering information, please visit http://www.smonet.com/ or contact your local distributor.

Ikan International Wins Three 'Best of Show' Awards at InfoComm 2025

Industry Recognition Validates Company's Leadership in Integrated Studio Solutions and Power-over-Ethernet InnovationOrganizations that previously relied on external studios or accepted lower-quality presentations now have access to broadcast-grade capabilities that integrate with their existing IT infrastructure.”— James Tian, Ikan CEOHOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, June 24, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Ikan International, a leading manufacturer of professional broadcast and video production equipment, today announced it has received three prestigious "Best of Show" awards at InfoComm 2025, presented by AV Technology magazine. The awards recognize Ikan's innovative approach to integrated studio solutions and breakthrough Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology that is transforming how organizations deploy professional broadcast capabilities. The award-winning products demonstrate Ikan's commitment to simplifying broadcast technology deployment while maintaining professional-grade performance: • STUDIO ROVER– Winner, AV Technology Category Complete IP-controlled mobile studio featuring integrated 19" NDI teleprompter, NDI PTZ camera, motorized pedestal, and LBX8-POE low-profile LED panel • LBX20-POE– Winner, AV Technology Category Lyra PoE 1×2 Bi-Color Studio Soft Panel LED Light with ArtNet and sACN DMX control • LCX10-POE– Winner, AV Technology Category Lyra PoE 1×1 RGBWA Color Studio Soft Panel LED Light with ArtNet and sACN DMX control Addressing Critical Industry Pain Points The recognition comes as organizations across corporate, education, and government sectors increasingly seek professional broadcast capabilities without the complexity and infrastructure requirements of traditional television studio deployments. Ikan's award-winning solutions directly address key market challenges including lengthy permitting processes, complex multi-vendor integration, and the shortage of specialized broadcast technicians. Revolutionary PoE Technology Ikan's breakthrough Power-over-Ethernet lighting solutions eliminate traditional electrical permitting requirements that can delay projects by 4-6 weeks. By delivering both power and data through standard network cables, the technology enables rapid studio deployment in existing facilities without electrical infrastructure modifications. Recent deployments demonstrate the technology's impact: a 23-studio rollout for Gwinnett County Public Schools was made possible specifically because PoE lighting circumvented the district's stringent electrical permitting requirements. Similarly, the University of Missouri deployed a complete studio over Thanksgiving break—a timeline impossible with traditional electrical installations. Market Transformation The awards reflect broader industry transformation as broadcast-over-IP technologies converge with traditional AV systems. According to industry analysts, the broadcast-over-IP market is growing at 13% annually compared to 5% for traditional broadcast equipment, while AV-over-IP represents a $2.5 billion market expanding at 11.5% annually."We're witnessing the democratization of professional broadcast technology," said James Tian, CEO of Ikan International. "Organizations that previously relied on external studios or accepted lower-quality presentations now have access to broadcast-grade capabilities that integrate with their existing IT infrastructure." Strategic Partnerships Drive Innovation Ikan's integrated approach is supported by strategic partnerships with industry leaders including QSC for automation control systems, enabling non-technical users to operate sophisticated broadcast equipment through familiar AV interfaces. This partnership addresses the critical shortage of broadcast technicians by allowing existing AV personnel to manage professional broadcast workflows.

Bezpieczeństwo stało się w UE tematem numer jeden. Miała w tym udział polska prezydencja

Ostatnie dni czerwca to dobra okazja do podsumowania pół roku prezydencji Polski w Radzie UE.

W Hadze rusza szczyt NATO.
